When you first start your game and have you character customized the way you desire after talking to Professor Willow (another tree name, seriously?), you may be encountered by the three starters Pokemon from the Kanto region (the starters from Pokemon Blue and Red). Most players almost instantly caught their favorite of the three, without knowing that a fourth, concealed option was available. If you begin to walk away from the three starters instead of catching them, a Pikachu will show up that you are able to catch instead. All the starters can be caught after and will be easier to discover than Pikachu.
Hey, we cannot all win the lottery. With all the walking and chasing of Pokemon, players will need to take a break. Encourage the players into your shop, even if for a quick breather and a blast of AC.
You only hit the JackPot, and your company is already a PokeStop. Why? Players go to PokeStops to gather items. These stops refresh every five minutes without the players having to leave the location. See the Pokemon GO Wiki for more information on PokeStops.
When you are trying to catch a Pokemon, you may solicit down on the Pokemon to pick it up and then fling it toward the Pokemon. The Pokemon are set at different distances, which means some filings will need more power than others. However, one of the relative unknowns about the Pokemon catching process are the two circles that appear around the Pokemon when you pick up the Pokeball and prepare to throw it. One circle will remain the same size, while the other begins at the same size as the first one and instantly shrinks before repeating the cycle. And if you manage to get the Pokeball to land within that circle, you are going to be prompted with a message such as "Fine!" or "Perfect!"
Pokemon is a worldwide phenomenon. It's successful trading card games, video games, TV show, and now augmented reality app. The goal of Pokemon is to get digital monsters (pocket monsters, consequently Pokemon). You can gather them and battle others with them. What does this have to do with your company?
I prefer to turn off the augmented reality and only use a set backdrop when trying to catch a Pokemon. Sure, it's fun to use the AR to make it seem like that Pidgey is sitting on your own sandwich, but using the set background makes it easier to estimate your throws and keep the Pokemon lined up as it doesn't move around with the camera. It also prevents the battery from draining as much. Simply tap the AR button in the top right when falling upon a Pokemon and it'll change from the camera to a set backdrop, similar to what you'd see on the hand-held Pokemon games on Nintendo's 3DS. Not only will it make you less disappointed but it will save you Pokeballs and possibly prevent a Pokemon from running away after you've missed a few throws in a row.
The new augmented reality app Pokemon GO requires gamers to use a map to track and get Pokemon in the real world. The game is creating a lot of foot traffic. This is a great opportunity for local businesses to connect with the Pokemon GO players.
And not only that, Gizmodo reported that Pokemon Go is already bigger than Tinder regarding how many have installed it in the last week alone compared to Tinder in the last five years. And as a single, 24-year old woman whose dating life is pretty much zero at this point, I figured Pokemon Go might be my chance (and motivation) to ultimately go out and catch something... specifically, a date. It may not be a dating app, but in the last week alone, it is brought together different kinds of folks from all over (and before you ask, yes, I 've attempted Tinder, and I had it for exactly 24 hours before deleting it).
You can still offer reductions to the players and products related to the game. Pokemon can appear in your company and in the future, you may be able to become a PokeStop. Not Convinced? There is an event in San Francisco with 22,000 people interested in attending. A Pokemon occasion followed by a bar crawl. Wouldn't you want to be a bar catering to this crowd? As far as popularity goes, it is estimated that Pokemon GO has added $9 billion in market cap to Nintendo and is doing $1.6 million daily in the US.
Use this to your advantage. Offer players discounts while they're there. Add hints that you're a PokeStop to drive traffic and attract players which could not be in the app. Get even more players to your shop by using a Tempt. A Tempt means that more Pokemon will appear in the PokeStop where a lure is set. On average it will generate a Pokemon to appear every 2-3 minutes. The cost is about $1. Well worth the investment.
As an avid Pokemon buff since childhood, I excitedly downloaded the app and instantaneously got going with designing my character and deciding my starter. It took a couple of days for me truly to go out and start catching (because Nintendo servers were crashing so much and I'm also really lazy). But while going through Facebook and Tumblr, reading all about everyone else's experiences, I realized something: this is an excellent way to meet new people!
When Pokemon Go was lost in app stores without warning last week, it was like the new coming of the Messiah. Everybody wanted in, and the non-believers mocked from the sidelines.
Unlike other Pokémon games, capturing doesn't come down to tactically squaring off one Pokémon against another. That's since Pokémon battles are finger swipe-versus-monster as you swipe a Poké Ball toward a Pokémon. We're pleased to share our pointers with you on how to capture and discover Pokémon for your growing Pokémon Go collection.
